Did not feel like fighting Denver Traffic to get to the mountains so I took the new bike out South East to Elisabeth, then looped south to Elbert, and then back north to Kiowa and then on home.108 miles by odometer. Beautiful day and the prairie grasses were green for a change. We have had some pretty severe thunderstorms out east this last couple of weeks that has keep the vegetation green instead of the normal brown.

I didn't take any pics, but my son and I took a ride around some of the back roads in Pennsylvania yesterday. He was on his KLR650. We rode about 250 miles and had a great ride. Both bikes performed flawlessly.

I rode from Topeka to Kansas City International Airport park under the covered parking. When I got there, I found out one of the latches on my left Pannier had broken. Lucky it didn’t open. It had my carry-on in it.

I know most people don’t like interstate but the Kansas Turnpike is a place I like to ride because there’s almost no on ramps or off ramps and the published speed limit is 75, so I can boogie a little bit.
 
I gathered together a group of one and rode to lunch as I usually do on Tuesdays, most of my riding buddies have for whatever reason have quit riding.
 
I am into a 2 week, 2,100 mile trip. Rode to Houston Sunday morning, met with the saints of God - some old friends and some new ones. Rode around the area for two days picking up site for my Grand Tour of Texas. Tomorrow I head north, ending up in northern Mississippi for a 3 day prayer meeting. Plan to get home

Made it to my destination safely. Ran into a high cross wind monsoon as I entered Mississippi. The last 30 minutes were clear skies. Weather tomorrow looks great! My bike has been getting 55 - 58 MPG on this trip. About 1,100 miles since I left home. Had a great lunch yesterday in Warren, AR - $12 one meat plate with two sides. Top-notch!

Rode down to Deckers Corner to check on the progress of the new cafe' / restaurant renovation, "The Hangout" Still not finished. Hope new owners get it open soon as I miss
sitting on the patio drinking an early morning coffee when it was the Deckers Cafe'. Knocked off another 100+ miles for the month with the V-Strom.

Took the NT up over Guanella Pass This morning 156 mile loop. Left the house at 07:30 and was back at 11:30 before the afternoon heat set in to the City. . Got rained on at Pine Junction coming down out of the mountains. Was going to stop at Coney Island for lunch but they were closed. Now I have dirty bike that needs a 600 mile service done on it.

I hope you cleaned your dirty bike before putting it in your immaculate “garage” that looks cleaner than an operating room.😧

I am afraid to ride through MT in a few days....I am afraid all the snow will be gone. :(
 
Made it home this afternoon. 375 miles on the day. About 2,300 for the 2 weeks I was out.
 
Well it has been a month and I ran out of German rolls, so I needed to make another German Bakery run to the Springs. For this mission the FJR got the call. Left around 07:00 and was back home at 11:00. Rode down Highway 83 and then 12 miles of I-25 to Wimberger's Old World Bakery & Deli. Acquired the goods and then back up the Freeway to Monument, Colorado to pick up Highway 105 north back to Aurora.

Rode down to Deckers Corner and then along the North Fork of the South Platte River. Took the NT1100. 120 miles round trip. Left the house at 7:45 and was home by 11:15 before the noon and afternoon heat was upon us. Going to be over 90 in the City today.
