Whose in for a 2020 rally T-shirt? 10 bucks apiece in lots of 20

Hate to rain on the parade but Honda, Deauville and even NT700 are all copyrighted by Honda so using those without express permission from Honda may open you up to issues... now, that being said, why would they care? They don't even make the bike anymore.. but, just throwing it out there. I have no experience with that stuff or if it matters to Honda.. I know Harley would jump on you fast.

I think Honda has better things to do than chase down 10 t-shirts with their name of them. Now the company printing the shirts might not want to make them if they have copyrighted information on them.

I close friend of mine is an artist. The key he once told me is to draw something that is not exactly the same, is a bit vague, the messier it is the better, and the viewer draws their conclusion about what they are looking at.

He is available for anyone interested.

That is a true statement when working with someone such as Custom Ink.

FYI... I found looking around a little I found a legal term called "Fair Use" that allows the use of unlicensed works under certain guidelines. More on "Fair Use"

You are correct. If I was selling these for a profit ( or for a prophit) , making lots of them, and advertising, Harley et al would be all over me with a cease and desist order. But, One, no Turk has been pulled over by the fake merchansise police and two, if we left the winged trademark off the sleeve, then what is there really to complain about? The word, Honda? That's a rice patty or https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/honda

Personally, I like Marin Honda...

Good luck with claiming Fair Use on a T-shirt. :) From the linked article "identifies certain types of uses—such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research—as examples of activities that may qualify as fair use."

The interesting part is US Customs, other federal agencies, state agencies, and local agencies spends a lot of time, and money, cracking down on unlicensed t-shirt / hat / flag / trinket street vendors in Atlanta when things like the Super Bowl are in town. Frankly I don't care if the NFL / NBA / NHL or what ever "sports" organization, is whining about losing money to boot leg t-shirts. With the amount of illegal drugs coming through Atlanta I think those agencies have a lot better things to do than protect billion dollar monopoly enterprises from a t-shirt vendor...

Anyone that has a graphics vector platform can design their own graphics. Many copyright-free vector files can be downloaded from sources like Vecteezy.com using their free license download. However, the graphics available for use can be limited. A paid "Pro License" account is available for those worried about using any of these possibly copyrighted materials with full permissions given. Also, Pro users get access to better graphics files to use as they wish.

I am just saying that anyone with a program such as Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw could use these license permitted graphics to create something close to the original concept. Then there will be no worries about any copyright infringement on anyone's end. As these graphics will be an original work.

Like. Like Like. Like like like. Yes, I can see them confiscating containers full of fake Rolex watches . But they will leave us NTers alone. Guarantee it. Lets concentrate on stopping drugs. Redldr1 for president.

Thanks. When I start designing the T shirt using my company's program, we shall see how that goes.

I am an Illustrator user and some of these files are not in the native .ai formats and may require some additional work or conversions. In some cases, I had to redraw the files by tracing over them. Be advised.

I doubt that there would be a problem with Honda for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, they would appreciate the free advertising of the Brand.
Secondly, as far as I know, they have no competing product that they try to sell, unlike HD.
Honda are not litigious, unlike many other companies.
It is not in the Japanese psyche to sue anyone.
The average Japanese has a strong dislike of lawyers and the mentality around them.
I know, I have been married to one for 34 years, have been to Japan countless times and understand the way they think.

I love the Japanese people I meet and get to know. Now there is another reason to! I dont think those pesky Americans at American Honda are coming after me after I hand out the shirts. They will get my NT shirt from my cold dead hands! ;)
My friends Dennis, Elaine and Emily Yamashita. They have relative who were sent to the concentration camps during WWII.

American Honda is a different company and has the "Sue" mentality. They call it "Seeking Damages".
