Hey fellers!

Found a 2011 ABS with 5,950 miles in Black. Appears to be in decent condition from photos. We wont be able to inspect it till later this week. Seller is firm on $3800. Fair price?

Craig

I am with Phil on this one. If it hasnt been under water, that is a great price for that bike. YOu could have any color you wanted in 2011 as long as it was black.

I have been watching that one for a few weeks now..........exactly the same price and milage I paid for my 2010 a few months ago......and I think I got a very solid deal. This one appears the same!!!

That is exactly the same amount that I traded my 2011 in for last year ,but it had four times the miles...check it out and pay special attention to the pannier locking system

The price is fair but with such low mileage it has probably spent a fair amount of time sitting around. Make sure to get the history on it. The tires appear to be fairly new, how old is the battery, when was it last ridden and when was the oil last changed etc. Good luck.

It has been listed for 7 weeks.......started out at $4,700, then the Seller dropped the price (maybe a week or so back??). The ad states that it has been garage-kept its entire life. The NT is a "Unicorn".........I would say a majority of the biker folks out there do not even know what it is when "Honda NT700V" is mentioned in a conversation. I paid $3,900 for my 2010, drove 3 hrs one way to meet with the Seller, bike included a Corbin Seat and Bar Risers......stock seat was MIA. I did put new tires on it when I got it back home as mine had a date code of 2008........on a 2010 model bike. Whatever.......it now has new shoes and looks showroom new with only 6k miles. The Black one here appears to be the same kind of great deal.

In CA that would be a $5000 bike (or more)! But all bikes cost more here. That sounds like a super deal to me!

usedtobefast, welcome to the NT-Owners.org Forum! Introduce yourself to: previous motorcycle history, favorite rides, your NT, etc, etc.

I’m in California and paid $3,200 for mine 3 years ago with faded black plastics. I don’t think the Supply Chain Chip Shortage Price Inflation applies to the used motorcycle market. Furthermore to the used NT market.

I personally won’t look at one over $3,500 without any Farkle. But that’s just me.

Everyone has different financial situations but if the bike is clean with no crazy mods $3800.00 is not a bad price especially with ABS.

Prices are funny. Right now, the news is saying prices for homes in Spokane are way over valued. Basically, a home is valued by the bank and you get a loan on that value, but in Spokane you better have $16k over bank value or someone is going to take the house 24 hours after it is on the market.
The value of anything is how you feel after you purchase it.
I have paid way too much for things and have been happy as a clam I did.
I paid full list for my NT 2010 maybe two years after 2010. I dont feel cheated...I feel lucky......I feel happy.
If the bike speaks to you, buy it.

I do know the chip shortage, real or contrived, has forced the price of used cars up.
It would be interesting to see an article about the used bike market.
I traded in my NT a few years ago for $1600 (needed tires) and in WA that mean I didnt have to pay 10 percent sales tax on that $1600 part of the cost of my new VFR. I wouldnt be so generous today.

Covid has made new and used bikes stupid right now. At least in Florida, all bike dealers have little to no inventory. Great time to sell, no so much to buy.

With only 5,900 miles, this sounds like a great deal. Just for reference, in June I paid $4750 for a 2010 with 14K miles. It was spotless, with new tires and recent service, but the one you are looking at appears to be spotless too. So if it checks out, you've made a very good purchase!

You know whats funny ? Go on Cycle trader and look for Honda CBR 500 or CB 500Xs and they are everywhere $7,000 new and make an offer....lots of used ones too. Bucket fulls of NC 750s too.

I paid $5K for Horse a bit over a year ago and got $1500 for Dudley, who had 139K miles. Horse had 22K and they put new tires on and switched over several things from Dudley. Empire Cycle in Spokane still has it and are still asking $2500 for it.

When I bought my 2016 CB500X new in 2019, the salesman was so happy to get it out the door that the price was $6000 all in. He said everyone went by it and said "not big enough". I sent him an email after riding it from CA to VA and he was floored. I find not listening to the pundits in the cycle magazines and making my own decision is best.
