I have been as usual distracted by the 1001 other things in my life that demand my time. Did get my wife up on the seat to get a better feel where the box needed to be to make her comfortable. Some free time to bend up some flat stock or maybe some sheet metal to lift this a couple of inches and make it easy to unbolt. I will post pictures when it happens...

So where did this all go? Most of it is out in the garage collecting dust. bought a Givi mount from MAC and ordered a http://www.sporttour.com/shopexd.asp?id=2354 The last one was a pita to take off. The look of it never grew on me. Got the Givi in flat black with a brake light kit. With luck It will do the trick.
