For those who have done the saddle sore

Thanks to all for your encouragement. I actually prepared for an attempt last night. But my wife's sister is on her deathbed, and it seems she is deteriorating at an advanced rate these last few days. After some thought, I decided to postpone the attempt until after she has been called. I dont want to get somewhere and be 500 miles from home when the news comes. Also, a wait will provide milder weather and a little more daylight for the ride.
