If my bike had a haircut, it'd be a fade...

Autogeek.com.

It really made the pockets and side pieces look better than the day I picked it up. The very front black piece under the headlight didn't look faded, but sure looked better after I put this stuff on.

I guess if I hadn't ridden it most days to work or all over the southwest it probably wouldn't look faded. I didn't take offense at an earlier comment, but it is a incorrect assumption to assume that if someone is cleaning and maintaining their bike they are not riding. Rather, the cleaning and maintenance is the result of being out there and riding.

Phil,

Check with your local boat dealers and 4WD drive / Jeep shops as it is very popular with both groups, at least around here...

My NT700 looked about ten years old by the time it was about a year old. Does anyone know if 303 is available in the UK?

I just started using this stuff. Seems to be working well, at least this far after application.
Can see how it looks on the black plastic below.

I like that it does not leave a greasy, slick feel after application. Just spray on a microfiber towel, apply and wipe down.

I use ProTech Bumper Renovator (well it's actually R?novateur Pare-Chocs but you can buy it in English:)) and I am very pleased with it.

I applied one coat at the end of September and it brought the plastic back up to better than new. I use the bike everyday and wash it usually only once a week and the plastic still looks awesome. Most people don't believe she's 2 years old with about 18,000 miles (29,000kms) on the clock.

Reviving an old thread. I was initially very pleased with the way 303 P. made the plastics look new again. I used it last summer and reapplied it as it would wear off (evaporate). I swear that one time I applied the 303P on all the plastics that needed it and the next day after work they were starting to look faded again. Thought I would save anyone who finds this thread from wasting money. The 303 P might work great before they get sun faded but if the damage is already done then you have to keep applying it.

I stopped using it a couple of months ago and plan on painting these crazy plastic pieces with the Krylon satin black for plastic. It is as if the plastics are not UV resistant and just get dry and brittle. Why wouldn't you put a more UV resistant material on an outdoor vehicle.

I remember just rubbing faded black plastic pieces with a very small amount of used motor oil, and it seemed to work real well. I can't remember where I read that, but I didn't believe it until I tried it because "what did I have to lose?" Something about plastic being petroleum-based?
