Some of the Norge clusters have issues of some kind which stops the bike. Won't start or kills it entirely. Some have had no problems, others go through several clusters without being fixed (which I think means it is something else, but, no one has found any other faults). The cluster is like many today. Most of the computer functions go through it so if it fails then entire system can go down.

FWIW, if you want a nice older touring bike, look at either an SPIII or California III. Both had full fairings and nice engines. My T5 wears most of an SPIII fairing (which was an option for the T5's in Europe). If you want more on the sport side of sport touring, then a V11 LeMans. More aggressive riding position. It only had a 3/4 fairing, but, can be fast and handle really well. It and the SPIII are to me the prettiest of the Guzzi's.
