Been there done that but not on a NT700. Rode it on a BMW F800GS. Either way it was a great ride with many many SwitchBacks. I enjoy riding switchback roads. Got a few here in Colorado also.

I love mountain roads but riding the Beartooth Highway takes lots of concentration. I cant believe how tight those switchbacks are and how narrow the road is in the vid. Are there signs to warn semis and long vehicles to not attempt passage on those roads? I definately wouldnt want to take that road on the FJR but the V strom would be fine.
Yes. there are weight and size signs of what is allowed to travel the Alpine Passes. The V-storm is the perfect bike for those roads. I am going to look into renting a V-Strom the next time I go over. Hopefully this coming Sept. Less expensive that a BMW F800 GT

In 2008, I was in Switzerland for 6 days, riding a borrowed Kawasaki GTR (the same bike we call the Concours 10). The bike I was riding had an alternator failure before we got into Switzerland and we jury-rigged a temporary fix by buying a new battery and swapping it out between my bike and the other GTR in the group of four who were riding to the rally site together. I was without a bike till my donor buddy and I managed to find a GTR for sale in the tiny village where the rally was being held. I ended up riding a Dutchman's bike and he rode the "new" bike back to Holland. I rode with a group the first day after I got Mark's bike, and the next day they were heading out to ride the Stelvio. But it was raining cats and dogs and I decided I had no urge to ride that in hard rain. I rode to St Moritz instead and had a pretty impressive Alpine pass on the way there and back. I'd still like to ride the Stelvio, but I kind of doubt that will ever happen now.
That is an awesome road. But the most amazing part of the video was the three bicyclists pedaling up the road.
