For those with FB, here is exactly what it is like to ride NTs through the mountains of Europe...
I love mountain roads but riding the Beartooth Highway takes lots of concentration. I cant believe how tight those switchbacks are and how narrow the road is in the vid. Are there signs to warn semis and long vehicles to not attempt passage on those roads? I definately wouldnt want to take that road on the FJR but the V strom would be fine.Been there done that but not on a NT700. Rode it on a BMW F800GS. Either way it was a great ride with many many SwitchBacks. I enjoy riding switchback roads. Got a few here in Colorado also.
Yea, They are NUTS.That is an awesome road. But the most amazing part of the video was the three bicyclists pedaling up the road.
I have a really good joke about these three fierce competitiors but I cant tell it on a family website....Yea, They are NUTS.![]()
At yer age, you will have forgotten it by then <sigh>I have a really good joke about these three fierce competitiors but I cant tell it on a family website....You will have to wait till the rally....(y)
Who wants to go ride the Dolomites?Yes. there are weight and size signs of what is allowed to travel the Alpine Passes. The V-storm is the perfect bike for those roads. I am going to look into renting a V-Strom the next time I go over. Hopefully this coming Sept. Less expensive that a BMW F800 GTView attachment 13870

Oh no...this is one of my all time favorite jokes...not to be forgotton...I will pm it to you...At yer age, you will have forgotten it by then <sigh>
