A box from the Netherlands! What could it be?

Did I see no cruise control? Idiots! Fu**ing idiots! They have all these bizarre features like the headlight following the road in a lean and they very purposely refuse to put on a cruise control! Ride by wire and no cruise control! Bags, centerstand, roll bars and this is my bike. Givi wind screen. 31 in seat height and light weight and launch assist are all great. Take my money! It will be too late for my lifetime but if they hold a US focus group with other than egg plants, this bike with the right options would fly off the dealer shelves. So sad but I bet later they come out with a better bike. So sad. My hands are so old they go numb holding a broom....I want cruise. Even with the McCruise installed, it may work. And it matches my helmet.
Chris - my 2021 650 V-Strom did have the McCruise system installed on it from the previous owner. Worked very well. I miss it. He had the dealer install it. Cha ching $$$.
It would be worth the 1500 or so on the new Vstrom. If they come out with a kit. For the 2o27 Vstrom 650. My guess is its gonna take them awhile to develop the kit.

However, if the SV-7GX is ride-by-wire there is a good chance that Veridian Cruse will build a unit for it.
It is my hope they do...and Givi builds sane bags that dont come up to your shoulder level. If they made this bike with a tad bigger engine still with no vibration, add Cruise, dropped their flawed 800 from the lineup, they could make serious dents in the HOnda and Triump Lineup.

Its pretty clever how they do it with a cable to servo to cable. Not exactly sure but I suppose there is a box that taps into the speedo input. $900 USD plus tarriffs, etc. I think I will stick with my throttle lock. (Dont breath the smokey air, my friend.)
Cruise control that I put on the 2010 NT. Mine was vacuum powered (design later changed to an electric servo motor) that mechanically was connected to the throttle body pulley. It did not track a specific speed but increase/decrease/ resume from velocity when set. Worked good except at high speeds when vacuum limited. Not overly complicated to install if you followed the good detailed instructions.

Price with shipping was $420 UD. Revzilla price is $500 plus 9.2 percent WA pirate tax. Even if you could get this color. Which you can't.
Arghhhhh! I have been horn swaggled. Today, Fex EX charged me an additional $48 US for Customs and disbursement. They said they charged me after the fact to speed delivery. May their beds be filled with the dung of a 1000 camels! When I buy stuff from overseas on ebay, it says it will not charge me any hidden addtional charges......I am still ahead but buying overseas now has much less of an appeal.

I put a Vaccum one on my old dearly departed Isuzu trooper. The vaccum reservoir was big enough to handle changes and it wasnt very expensive. There was no can bus and there was no integration with a module of digital sensors/ input outputs like brake and clutch position. Occasionally, it would stick in the set position so I would have to stop the engine, stop the vehicle, and go under the hood and free things up. Not very safe. I assume they are expensive now cause of legalities. Back in the 50s, how many of your cars had cruise controls? Now, how many 2026 cars dont have them?

Just wait for this one to hit the US later this year or early next. It look promising and could replace my 2013 V-Strom 650.

I have been thinking about this bike more. Thanks to Chuck for pointing it out. Shame on my lame number 2 Suzuki dealer for not doing that. Unless it has a rear brake that actually works, unlike my 2017, it is a no go with pirate fees, assembly and shipping, titleing, etc. And all the needed options.

My 2017 has 16,000 on it. The request to start switch is OK, the launch assist works very well and you hardly know its there. All the riding modes and trick headlight on the new one have no attraction. The new gotta have it display screens have no attraction, especially if they take as long as the Triump to boot up. I have a center stand, bags, roll bars...all Suzuki. I have a throttle lock I have used since deep into the last century on my 1983 Goldwing, for instance. I have a Bigfoot on the kick stand. I have a flat luggage rack I ordered. All of these things would be needed on the new bike...as well as the exquisit Givi adjustable windscreen. If Suzuki brings out a well equipped cruise control version of this bike, wake me up. (I also have a stock cigarette lighter outlet in the dash, a real tach, and a real stock voltmeter.) Not sure about the new seat on the new bike but my old stock seat is very comfortalbe. The Givi snap on tank bag lock works very well on my bike. Dont know about the new one.

I should add that Champion helmets is not a bad company. In fact, they just lower the price a lot of the LS2 Advent 2 in blue. (NOT the Advent X.
You just have to know the hoops.
Use paypal and your credit card. Expect a fed ex package you have to sign for or have delivered to a pickup store.
Read fine print about add ons, like tarrifs.

Oh look! I just got my 10th recall notice about my fuel pump O ring on my XT.
What to do?
Bike has run great for 8 years/16,000 miles.
1. Do nothing
2. Take bike to dealer where you will be grounded or stranded till they decide to fix it by having a fetus who doesnt know a torque wrench from a T handle take your bike apart, put the gas in an old oil drain pan with crap in it, replace the ring, improperly re-install the pump, and put back your gas with crap in it.

If my Advent X is too beautiful to actually use, would it be a sin to buy an Advent 2 for daily driver? Asking for a friend.

The Advant 2 uses an affordable high-strength thermoplastic/polycarbonate blend shell, whereas the Advant X features a premium carbon fiber or carbon-composite shell for reduced weight and less neck fatigue.
