Got's me a 2025 NT1100!!!!

I’ve made a correction to the thread I linked above. Here it is:

“No editing allowed so I’ll add a correction here.
Raising the forks adds slack to the parking brake cable. The brake line and wiring are unaffected.
The needed slack for the left side wiring is from loosening the cable tie to the left side handlebar.
The needed slack for the brake line, parking cable and right side wiring is from moving the brake/parking brake assembly 15mm inboard.”

So lowering the bike extends just the parking cable. That would be the obstacle if you were not to lower the bike. Cabling and brake line would be ok.
Please pardon my 71yo brain fart:(
Thanks, that helps a lot. How much lower did you go and did you also use lowering links for the rear. No pardons necessary as I have a 75.75 year old brain and have those a lot lately. :thumb:

I went 7/8" lower rear and raised the forks 1/2". The Soupy's links came adjusted for 7/8".
I documented it somewhat here
It begins with an Africa Twin how-to video by pro. Helpful tools further down the thread.

Just a Idea, On my V-Strom I have barback risers and put the throttle cable on the outside of the forks and triple clamp. Worked good and gave me plenty of slack in the cables. In your opinion do you think that would work with the P-Brake on the NT?

The clockspring also has a very important role as it provides power and commands the airbag! The reason that the CAN system won't get confused is that each command is prioritized by the control software. The commands are executed so quickly that you would never detect the prioritization.

Ahhhh....so everyone has his time period he can talk on the bus, and if he misses it, he has to wait another 3 miliseconds? JMTC. How many lives of people who wear the shoulder belts has the steering wheel airbag saved? Not being sarcastic...I would like to know.... not a fan personally. If airbags stayed inflated for awhile, things might be different.

Everybody with a NT1100 realizes that they have a two year unlimited factory warranty on the their bike. My dealer just informed of that, instead of a one year as most had thought.

HMMMMMMMM....... I was told 1 yr Honda factory warranty. I would be skeptical of a 2 yr?????? That would be really rare, for factory 2 yr. Did the dealership add an additional year that they paid for? I did anyhow buy the extra 5 yr Honda extended warranty

This info just got to the dealers. When I bought my NT11 my dealer also though there was only a year warranty. I bought 4 more years extended Honda warranty. Now with a two year factory warranty I have a six year coverage. Should take me to almost 82 years old. I am sure that by then I might not be riding any more.

I want 4 years. But balance is the killer. Kinda glad I am on the vstrom. Balances well even with a load.

Got the seat fixed at Seth Laam new WV location. More flat now, eliminates the sliding forward and severe tail bone hurt. My 6 hr ride home was good, no more tail bone pain. Did a ride in, not shipped

At first glance, it appears to be similar to the current CAN bus sytems which are commonly used in new automotive applications. BMW was the first to use it in motorcycle applications and it wreaked havoc with the aftermarket accessory business at first. AFAIK, BMW is still the sole manufacturer to use a CAN bus system in motorcycles.

Mike
Honda incorporated CANBUS in the latest generation Goldwing (2018+), the Rebel 1100, the Africa Twin, NC750X and probably other bikes introduced since 2018.

Good to know, thanks!

Have 8,710 miles now. Did my first interval oil change. With the service manual, have 2 drain plugs, big filter, plus small trans filter. When I did my 600 mile oil change, the user manual that came with bike didn't mention Trans filter. The engine case looked like something was in there, but not knowing if it could be taken out or filter in there, didn't do it. It was 4.4 quarts like book says.
Also added air to tires, adjusted chain for 2nd time.

Went to Tail of Dragon Sunday 7th. Nice cool day, no rain. Used DCT Sport 2 mode. It's a hoot to ride. Total miles for day was 577, 12.75 hr trip. Also got up to BRP, at highest point.

Did the Dragon, at the end, turned around, got straightened out, it's a slight uphill, remember it's in Sport 2, got a slight front wheel lift after full throttle. It has traction control to prevent wheelies, but a little wheel lift was exhilarating. Had to show off to the crowd of bikers, with that deep baritone exhaust sound when full throttle is applied!!

With the DCT, when riding twisties, nice to keep your palm on the grip, don't have to fiddle with clutch lever. So I'm going to make a pitch to WVRider, buy yourself a retirement gift!! You can ride in full manual mode controlled with paddle shifters.
Even saw a 4 wheel plane!! Last pic

Put this on UK NT site

Does anyone else think where the badge is at, HARDLY ANYBODY can see it? A lame way to display, a slight gloss black on plastic black. Honda had no problem displaying there Honda emblem with an inserted nameplate. That's what they should have done to show the CC's. So I used blue painters tape, pressed into recess, then used Exacto knife to cut out then spray. I used florescent orange, almost looks burnt orange. Anybody could use their choice
