Hello, new to the NT club

Awesome, I bet that was a great trip. I too like the adjustable windshield so far, my sporty had a good detachable windshield on it too and it was nice it off on the short rides. I took the sporty to Arkansas several times and enjoyed it, really looking forward to taking the NT down there now that I've ridden a few more miles on it. So far I am really enjoying the trade. I seemed to have got burnt out maybe with the Sporty and the NT has been the spark to get me back into riding more often.
 
I to am a newbie and a big welcome to you. Never owned or rode a sporty. Still would like one though, found this one on the ADV site. I like it real well.

When I had the NT I ran 38 and 44 because I am lazy and hated having to fill them up especially the rear that was hard to get to. The two extra pounds gave me more time before I had to check them and fill them back up. I did not notice any ride or wear difference.

Figured I’d post an update since I’ve put some miles on the new ride. So far I’ve taken both my kids (separately) on rides, ages 9 and 7. They love it, they both like the grips on the sides of the seat. They have been telling their friends that Dad has a Honda now and it’s faster than his old Harley haha

I’ve gotten more comfortable with the bike also, starting to lean more and take offs are smoother. Definitely a different ride than the Sportster for sure. I’ve found my spark to get out and ride is back, I kinda lost it the last few years, guess I got bored with the sporty. Man this bike is fun!!!!

You better act soon. The price has dropped to $2,500. It should be a not brainer at this point.

Oh my Lord! A Harley that almost looks like a motorcycle! I had my Windjammer on my XS 650 Yamaha and then my XV920 RH and then put it on my
Stock black 1983 Wing and rode for 16 years......It was one of the major accessories that changed motorcycling for ever......(If found, Please return my Trooper)
That wing also changed motorcycling for ever....What a touring bike.....easy to work on...fast and smooth. Hey look! I look like Robert Redford in Butch Cassity and the sundance kid!
My wife is so lucky..... ;)

Never thought much of the Gold Wing but I would not mind having my CL350 back. I loved that Honda.

Two years ago at the BMW Nat Rally I talked to the Michelin rep about tire cupping. I told him that I run 2 lbs higher than mfr recommendation which seemed to be common practice. He said that he recommended 2 psi over as well, but didn't think that would change cupping tendency either way. I always figured it is better slightly high than low. Easier to take some out than put it in.

I have a really dumb question, I notice what may be speakers and air vents on the faring? Are these usable or just there to take up space? And also what tire pressure is everyone running? TIA
